  1. DOS.TXT - Installation instructions for MS-DOS 5.x and MS-DOS 6.x

  4. Note, this document is written from the perspective of installing
  5. the full version of TAPEDISK.  The installaion of the full version
  6. of TAPEDISK normaly installs into C:\TD650.  If you are installing
  7. the TAPEDISK Demo the default directory for installation is
  8. C:\TD650250. The TAPEDISK Demo V6.4.0 is a 250MB restricted version
  9. of TAPEDISK.

  11. If you have installed this into a different directory please
  12. make adjustments to the following documentation.

  14. You should read the TAPEDISK User's Guide for complete installation
  15. instructions.  TAPEDISK does have an automatic configuration editor.

  17. For most configurations the automatic process works well. Some systems
  18. may encounter problems with the automatic installation procedure. It
  19. is important for you to understand the requirements for proper installation
  20. of the TAPEDISK device driver.

  22. To start the TAPEDISK Configuration Editor please exit Windows 3.1x and
  23. shut down any TSRs.  Set the current drive and directory to that of
  24. the TAPEDISK software and enter CONFIG.  Example:

  26.     C:
  27.     CD \TD650
  28.     CONFIG
  29.  
  30. Then answer the questions presented by the TAPEDISK Configuration
  31. Editor.
